I presume it is possible to lock a published Apple Motion effect. Since almost everything else — e.g., password-protected PDFs — can be circumvented, I was hoping someone might know a workaround. I realize there might be a thin line between IP theft and right-to-fix, but given articles like this one it looks like the plug-in biz isn’t very airtight.

Yes, I have split up resulting ranges so I could manipulate the speed, but my example was just the first one that came to mind, AND, that’s a lot of trouble to go to for something that should be easy. Much to my disappointment, I have discovered that the Pixel Film Studios transition plug-ins are lacking needed controls (like changing the speed of fade in). In Apple’s docs for HDR Tools it lists several possible modes, starting with “HDR to Rec.709 SDR”. One of the other modes listed is, “HLG to Rec.709 SDR”. That is not available in my FCPX.

The clip currently selected in my Timeline is Rec.2020 HLG.
Can anyone explain why the mode is missing?
