Since almost everything else &#8212; e.g., password-protected PDFs  &#8212; can be circumvented, I was hoping someone might know a workaround.  I realize there might be a thin line between IP theft and right-to-fix, but given articles like this one it looks like the plug-in biz isn&#8217;t very airtight.  </p>

There have been numerous instances with their products where I have found them to be missing obviously needed controls. Crippled, really, and why?&hellip;</p>

I asked if one such transition can be edited in Motion and was told it&#8217;s not possible.  I understand the need to protect IP but I think licensees should be able to at least add a control.&hellip;</p>

Why?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>In <a target='_blank' href="https://support.apple.com/guide/final-cut-pro/convert-or-adjust-hdr-clips-verbf72f3e96/mac" rel="nofollow">Apple’s docs for HDR Tools</a>﻿ it lists several possible modes, starting with &#8220;HDR to Rec.709 SDR&#8221;. One of the other modes listed is, “HLG to Rec.709 SDR”. That is not available in my FCPX.<br /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/8SRdhtc.png" /></p>
<p>The clip currently selected in my Timeline is Rec.2020 HLG﻿.﻿<br />Can anyone explain why the mode is missing?</p>
