Hi!
i have a problem here and don’t know how to solve it!

i locked my anchors point whith this expression:

a = thisLayer.sourceRectAtTime(time);

t = a.top;

l = a.left;

w = a.width;

h =a.height;

[l+w, t+h]

So when i’m writting the text goes up instead of going down, what i wanted.

I have this text layer and a shape layer at the right of the text layer. i want when the text change that my shape layer follow the text layer… For example if it’s i write “Hello Dear” the shape layer will be at 25 pixel of the end of the text layer…but if i write i love apple the shape layer will still be a 25 pixel of the text…

I Wrote This Expression like Dan Suggest:

gap = 10;

L = thisComp.layer(“text”).text.sourceText;

rect = L.sourceRectAtTime(time,false);

x = L.toComp([rect.left,0])[0];

[x-gap-width/2,value[1]]

and the answer of After effect is L.sourceRectAtTime is not a function….
don’t know what to do….
I Using After Effect CC 2020 V.17.5.1
