I purchased a Nikon D7000, everything works great but an external mic will not work. I’ve checked settings, etc. Any suggestions? Could it be the lavalier mic? I’ve owned a D7000 before (sold it) and they are so cheap now, figured I buy a one that’s almost new. I’m disappointed the ext. mic isn’t working, though.
