I have an old Promise Pegasus R4 raid dating from 2012. It’s working perfectly with my old iMac 2011. I have just purchased a Mac mini 2020 but the raid won’t mount

The old raid has a Thunderbolt 2 connection and I had bought a thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter. Does anyone know if an old Pegasus raid will work with the new Mac mini?
