It&#8217;s like the program has to &#8216;think&#8217; for a moment before expanding or contracting the timeline to accommodate the command. Similarly, when I undo/ redo adding or deleting this media, there is a lag. This didn&#8217;t&hellip;</p>

<p>CC2019 didn&#8217;t have this issue. But my issue in CC2019 was the time it took for the clip to play after hitting the space bar.</p>
<p>Does anyone know what the fix is in either (or both) of these&hellip;</p>

<p>So I think I may have a better understanding of what is causing the laggy copy/ paste/ undo/ redo.  </p>
<p>As I mentioned, my timeline is 11 hours long and when I copy/ paste/ undo/ redo in that long timeline (with many edited scenes), there is a laggy delay that was not there in PPro 2019.  </p>

<p>I&#8217;m on a <span>2013 Macbook Pro (16GB) w/ Lacie Thunderbolt JBOD, w/ PPro writing to external SSD.</span></p>
<p>I just upgraded from a mostly stable PPro 2019 to PPro 2020 (14.5).</p>
<p>I upgraded because although PPro 2019 was really quite stable, when I hit the spacebar to play, the delay (1-3 sec.) became annoying over time.</p>
<p>With PPro 2020 (14.5) the delay is&hellip;</p>
