Nevermind, I found it. Top of the media browser under the little film strip. If you do a Google search for this same feature you find lots of references to a little gear icon, which has disappeared over the years.

Does anyone know how to get rid of these annoying date groups that Final Cut creates? They don’t help me keep things organized and usually they’re wrong (all these files were created and imported on the same day.)
