I have noticed that Active Storage and Symply Storage websites are still up even though I had heard they had ceased operations and stopped shipping products. Do I have this wrong? If no longer shipping products, then why maintain a web presence and publish product pages, is it due to serve out the remainder of their support contracts?

I have around 30 or so, 30 minute load, BetaCam SP tapes that I would like to digitize and I am looking for the most economical way to do it. At the moment, all I have is a Mac Pro with no PCI expansion box or capture card, and no deck.

Other than the above mentioned items, am I leaving anything out, and any recommendations on a basic playback…
