I have a plane with a cloth tag on it. I cannot move it. The dynamics work fine when I play it but it will not move, scale, or rotate. I have tried caching the animation, placing it into a null and trying to move the null, disabling the dynamics in the basic tab of the cloth tag, and disabling dynamics in the project/dynamics/general tab. When I hit the Go to Start button in Cinema 4D the scene in the viewport does not go back to frame 0. It simply stays where I paused it. The playhead will go to frame zero but the animation does not.
