That did it. Thank you. I forgot about the keyframe interpolation option. Kept looking at the graph which had no bezier handles to fix the problem.

I added a point control to a text layer and linked the text source to the [0] value of the point control. I then added keyframes with increasing values to the point property. My keyframes consistently increase as you progress along the timeline, but the values will actually decrease at times. A look at the graph editor shows the point value…
