<p>Why we need subclips:<br />Although we can splice clips so that our timeline consists of subclips without using the trimmer, we can&#8217;t tag those spliced clips.</p>
<p>Case #1: 60 hours of documentary footage &#8211; clips tagged according to multiple parameters.  If we had just spliced the clips in the timeline, we could then watch all the&hellip;</p>

Is there a more efficient way to get all the subclips from all the projects into one new project?</p>
<p>(Or is there a database for subclips like Vegas&#8217; previous &#8220;Media Manager&#8221;?)</p>

<p>I want to turn them all into subclips.</p>
<p>I can select each region and click &#8220;Open in Trimmer&#8221;, and then create a region in the Trimmer and then copy and paste the region name from the Timeline to the Trimmer.<br />Is there a script or extension that would do that automatically?</p>

Is there a replacement for that now?</p>
<p>The loss of the media manager seriously harmed my ability to work.</p>
<p>I take subclips from many hours of footage, with many themes / people / seasons &#8230;.  I would have 1000 subclips if Media Manager still existed, and I&hellip;</p>

How?  After Effects?  If so, is there a specific tool to use, or just &#8220;masking&#8221;?  (I don&#8217;t have After Effects, yet.  If there is an alternative, I&#8217;m interested.)<br />I have Vegas Pro 18 &#8211; no other video editing software.</p>
