I think it has to do with how Premiere is storing files in the media cache.  </p>
<p>Here&#8217;s my workaround so far:</p>
<p>1.  Dump the media cache and do it frequently.</p>
<p>2.  Set up an SSD dedicated to the media cache.</p>
<p>3.  Use proxies and lower playback res.</p>
<p>4.  Close and re-open the project.</p>
<p>Does anyone else have this problem and/or fixes?</p>
