What type of ND filter should I use when shooting on a lake with my HD10U?
I will be shooting some stock footage for an independent film starting this June. I will be shooting every thing from high speed boat races to exotic car races to vintage Air craft and am looking at purchasing some additional filters for my JVC HD10U. Any one know what ND filter I should use in conjunction with a circular polarizer, and UV protector and possibly a 812 Warming I obviously want to avoid over exposure glare and the annoying green streaks. Tiffen ND.3, ND.6, ND.9? I will be showcasing the finger lakes area of NY and want the colors to be as rich as possible.

Hi Matt,
Typically a broadcast camera comes with a 1/4 (.25) ND filter in the filter wheel. The Tiffen ND.3 is the closest and is a good starting point. The .3 is equal to one stop, the .6 is good for two stops and the .9 will get you three stops. At a little over $12.00 ea. you might consider all three.
