Selection Tool- FCP 7

Hello COW community,

I’m having an annoying problem and not sure what I could be doing wrong, any help is appreciated. I have a big sequence open with a lots of audio and video tracks being used. I want to move a big chunk out of the way without disrupting the order they currently are in.

So I click the “Select All Tracks” tool and it automatically highlights all of the tracks to the right. Then I COMMAND click and select certain tracks that were highlighted accidentally, but do not want to move. Once everything is highlighted that I want to move, the system wont let me grab and move them.

Any ideas why?
