Duplicate or Snapshot

I have one nice tip which works for me.
When I “finish” editing I make one compound clip by selecting everything. Then I have to put different subtitles, watermarks or logos over my last edit to make different versions of my “final” versions.

So after that the director comes and says, oh can we change the colour a bit to this clip or do this and that? In fiction film this is rare I know, but in tv shows its not that rare.

So these different versions of the “final” edit are duplicates and not snapshots so everything I change in one version changes all.

Just don’t change the total duration with these changes because it will be hard to keep synch your subtitles, although its not impossible there are ways even for that.
