    Greetings COW,

I am looking for hotkeys on my keyboard for changing the pitch of an audio/video file.

I’ve looked it up and it tells me that + and – (and more combinations) are the hotkeys im looking for.
    But they don’t work.
I have tried it with and without the pitch shift effect enabled.
    Tried splitting the tracks etc.

Do i need to enable/disable something somewhere else?

I am working with Vegas 8.

    thank you

You just select an audio event and press +,- to shift up and down 1 semitone, and (Shift +), (Shift -) to shift up and down an octave. Nothing special needs to be enabled. Just make sure the audio event is selected.

I think i found the problem.
When i do right mousebutton on the event i click on Properties.
    then time stretch/pitch options.
The setting needs to be in classic.

But by default it is set to none.
And you need to switch evry clip to default in order to use the hotkeys.

Is there a way to set the events on “default” by …default:P?

    Thanks
